Caliber conversions can be done with minimal tools and in less than a few minutes. The Desert Tech MDRX Conversion Kit comes with everything you need to switch your MDR or MDRX rifle from one caliber to another. This MDRX Conversion kit comes with Desert Tech’s proprietary Ratchet Compensator installed! The Ratchet Compensator has been designed specifically for each caliber to maximize performance for your MDRX and any other brand rifle. The Ratchet Compensator reduces recoil while giving better muzzle control and nearly eliminating all barrel rise. MDRX Conversion Kits are available in multiple calibers, barrel lengths and in forward or side eject configurations. If you plan on changing your rifle from Forward Eject to Side Eject, or Side Eject to Forward Eject, additional "FE to SE" or "SE to FE" conversion kits will be required. MDRX Conversion Kits give you the ability to have multiple rifles/calibers out of one platform, allowing changing from one caliber to the another without having to re-familiarize yourself with a completely different cheek weld, grip, trigger, controls, optic or balance. If you are converting your MDRX from a Forward Eject configuration, you will also need to purchase the FE to SE kit which will convert your MDRX rifle from the Forward Eject configuration to the Side Eject configuration. If you have an original MDR and want to convert it to the Side Eject configuration, in addition to the kits listed above, you will also need to purchase the updated MDRX Bolt Carrier which is modified to accept the Side Eject Chute Cover.
