I use 285 grain hornady BTHP and 87.5 grains of Hornady h1000 with greats results in my .338lm.
the only problem i have had is ejecting problems. The DTA ejector isn't the greatest design and spent cases stick some times.it doesn't mater what factory ammo i use or if I use my loads.

im also using the 285 hornady with h1000 in my .338lm . this was a ladder test i did last week it was 15 shells starting at 83 grains and going to 90 grains i cant believe how good of a group i got with that big of a variance of grains. i love my DTA http://i1163.photobucket.com/albums/q549/lunaecli...

here is mine had a blast shooting it yesterday. .338 lapua 5X25 TPAL USoptic, AI mount , and home made mono pod. the bi-pod is a cheaper one from TDI and seems to be holding up so far.
