DTM 338LM factory accuracy tests

Post by Nicholas »

Guys,
As you know we make our own line of ammunition and I wanted to share with you test results that we are getting with our .338LM ammunition. Accuracy validation groups are fired with 10 shot strings to ensure problem fliers have been eliminated and to ensure that the second five shot group lands in the same place as the first.

Notice that detailed measurement information in the fields to the right of the target.

This target was fired at 1600m (1750yds) it highlights 9 out of 10 shots tenth shot can be seen at bottom right corner six inches from right edge and two inches from bottom of cardboard. Vertical spread of 9 shots is 1.93 MOA.

This shows 10 shots fired at 1300m (1422yds), vertical spread for 10 shots was 1.31 MOA, just about cleaned the target. :)

10 shot string fired at 700m (766yds) vertical spread for 10 shots was 1.52 MOA

another 10 shot string fired at 700m (766yds) vertical spread for 10 shots was 1.04 MOA (nice job Russ!)

5 shot string fired at 100m extreme spread is .294 MOA.

Still amazed we didn't get any responses to these results. It is phenomenal accuracy we tested all other ammo competitors and nothing came close to this in accuracy.

Nic,

To be honest i didn't see the post last year or i would have said something. It definitely is a great result, i would be very happy if they were my groups. It doesn't help us much over here as we cant buy the ammo.

Yes I would buy some In a heartbeat if it was available I already travel 5 hours each way to get decent ammo at a partialy reasonable price if you can call $150 + fuel for 20 factory loads reasonable. needless to say I buy in bulk and do a lot of reloading
