Just finished up our preliminary review of some DTM 308. Seemed like there was always one round in each string that would completely blow the ES numbers. Were it not for that, DTM would be winning against two of the main powerhouses in factory match ammo. Even so, it fared better than BHA in the Rem700 test. Obviously lots more ammo through the chrono at longer distances would be required to round out the story.

Re: Desert Tactical Munitions Review
great writeup Greg-thanks for reviewing. looks like you guys had some fun and got some good reads...as always DTA + DTM = special sauce
Re: Desert Tactical Munitions Review
DTA + Anything = special sauce, based on what I've seen. The DTA just shoots. This is yet more proof of that fact.
There are more benchrest rifle qualities in the DTA than many benchrest rifles.

It was a good review, we appreciate it. I know Russ busted your balls on the outliers in the chrono readings that are so far away from the rest of the rounds that it looked like a potential chrono issue. It was great and I look forward to more in the future!

No big deal... I was wearing a cup.Nicholas wrote:I know Russ busted your balls

Russ raised valid concerns, which I'll be addressing in the next round of testing. His passion for what he's doing is quite apparent.

I recently tried out the DTM ammo in .308 175grn. Shooting my SRS with the 22" barrel suppressed I was consistently breaking clay pigeons leaning against a dirt mound at 700 yds. 5.5 mils of elevation and 3.2 mils of wind, yes the wind was howling in Cheyenne Wyoming that day. I shot over a 100 rds of this stuff and it worked like a champ! Now I just wish I could buy some from the boys, 6 months wait I was told last time I called. Maybe DTM needs to go into the gunpowder business as well, it seems they need some help keeping up.

Hope to be able to buy some of this ammo soon after my SRS A1 arrives in a few months. Also still gathering gear to start my own reloading. Have a great weekend guys. Will be 84 degrees tomorrow with light wind.
