Guys,
Got to shoot the HtI today and it was amazing. I loaded up a generic round with 132gr 2225 with a 350gr predator at just over 4.350" as this seemed to work well out of my last cheytac. The HTI was bore sited at 50y and then sighted in at 100y. Next we put some numbers (best guess) through a calc and got a 500y solution, from memory 2.3mil elev and .3mil wind. The next shot smashed a clay target, all I could say was wow, I took a second shot and it was a fraction high so I aimed at the bottom of the clay and it disappeared. At this point the rifle had only had 12-14 rounds through it. The owner of the rifle then got behind it and continued to smash clay targets at 500y. How can you ask for a more accurate rifle out of the box wit no load development?
The 20 round session didn't go all to plan, the rifle wasn't ejecting very well. Only 1 of the 20 rounds cleared the rifle and that was when their was a couple of rounds in the mag. All the rounds that were single loaded failed to eject no matter how fast or slow the bolt was cycled. It looked very similar to what happens on the SRS when you don't put the plug in behind the bolt. Is there a plug that is supposed to get in there when its a cheytac?
It was a fun few hours and ended with another pleased DTA owner. I only took 1 pic and I will get it up tomorrow.

Not so great to hear about the ejection, but thrilled to hear that the gun hit so well.
Like most people know, for a while there we were having some extraction issues with the SRS but I personally hadn't heard about any yet with the HTI. Is the bolt extracting and just not ejecting, or is it not extracting either?
I can check with service/warranty and see if they've been seeing this...
Looking forward to the pic. Great results out of the box. when we shot 3080, it legitimately was factory/factory as well.
Killing clays at 500 yards is good for the soul!

Here it is

The cases were being pulled out of the chamber but falling off on top of the mag. I have been thinking about it since and Bertram has had some issues with rim thickness on his cheytac cases so that could have something to do with it.
Not a fan of the monopod, it wasn't fun trying to adjust it on a concrete. Everytime you made an adjustment it moved the rifle sideways.

And Seddo, that's a picture we will never see in NSW, if its over 8mm it's not allowed (well anywhere around where I live anyway) for awhile muzzle brakes were banned from most ranges as heaven forbid, it was loud, I never would have thought shooting would be loud. I may have to pick up and move south or north where fun has not been banned as yet.

Archaos,
its a bullshit rule tht 8mm one for sure, my f class rnage has the same thing. i cant understand the muzzle brake issue, how hard is it fo put the muzzle braked guys at the same end of the range!!

Its fixed.
He rang customer service and they said it would be a faulty spring or dirt in it. He saw a local gunsmith and 1 hour an $100 later it works. The gunsmith said there was nothing wrong with the spring and said it was the ejector.

Re: 3080 Yards... UK Style.
Seddo,
It is possible that your HTI didn't come with the 375 plug, we have a plug for it. If you haven't gotten one please call in and we will get it to you asap.
