Soft Recoil pad

Post by Orkan »

I saw it at SHOT 2012. Almost a year later, please tell me they will be available before the end of the year.

New soft buttpad is in the works when it comes out it will retroactively attach to all SRS rifles, old and new.

I have always said the recoil pad didn't bother me but after shooting 24 rounds of 338 Lap Mag prone last weekend i ended up with a sore shoulder. Before last week all shots of 338 have been fired off a bench and i thought it was fine but shooting prone is another story. I am happy enough to put my hand up and say i was wrong. Count me in for the recoil pad when it comes out, in the meantime i will look at some better brakes.

Wait till you fire the Sledgehammer prone, yeah it needs a softer recoil pad for that guy.

I will raise my hand for one too.

As for a brake, the Grizzly Gunworks Extreme brake is awesome. Don't get the Grizzly DTA one, go for the extreme version.

I would like to add my voice to those asking to make a soft(er) recoil pad rather sooner than later. Pretty-please!

Also, it would be great if you could share your approximate timeline for availability (i.e., any idea when you can release/deliver it), and its approximate cost.

Thanks!

The new "A1" modular recoil pad system is awesome.

They just need to make more of them, and make them faster! All of their production capacity is going toward new A1's right now. Hopefully next year they'll be caught up enough to have the A1 upgrade kits available.

Yes, they are awesome. Same makeup and feel as the HTI buttpad (for those who have seen).

Hopefully have the upgrade kits soon!!
