I'm heading to the range in a few hours with 40 rounds to fireform into 22-250AI so I will let you know how they extract.

Extraction wasn't an issue. Ejection is where they were failing.

I'm sure the AI has a broad enough shoulder to make it better than just a regular old 250.

That said, I'm boring my 22-250 barrel out to 22-243. :)

37/40 ejected perfectly, 2 hit my hand and didn't eject, only 1 failed to eject.

Be interesting to see how they solve that with the 223 bolt

It's taking some time, but I don't know if I will go 223 or 300 blackout. The 223 would be good for bunnies and foxes, but having the blackout you can carry subs and full power loads and go after a little more game. Still have to wait anyway

I have not decided firmly either way either, but to make it worth my while I am thinking of getting 2x223 barrels, 2x300 barrels 2x Bolts and 2xMags, but again that's cost dependent and how my funds are at the time. This is more to make it worth my time to get the parts, plus I prefer to have bits on hand so when one barrel dies I have another one ready, at which point I can purchase a new one. Still not convinced on 300 Blackout, at least in Australia as we cannot have the suppressor that makes it worthwhile, shooting one in the US suppressed and damn, I would like that one

I do that now with 308. The DTA Covert 16" is amazingly accurate with subs and full power 308. It eliminated any desire for me to have a 300BLK in a bolt gun.

300BLK still has a place in AR's though.

I enjoy shooting a 300 Whisper, have a Win70 & Rem 7615, but i am waitign to see how the covert goes when it eventurely turns up. If i can get the same results with the covert i will sell the Win70. The bolt gun gives me very tiny groups when i batch weigh everyting.
