I have a March F 3-24 42mm with 30mm tube that I love due small size and weight, which is about 2/3 rds that of other premium scopes. Also have March FX 5-40 56mm 34mm tube on my MRAD that I could switch over. Rarely shoot it at > 30X but good for spotting and reading mirage at 40X. Thinking about picking up S&B 5-25 56mm with P4F reticle or the DTA Kahles once I can check out the propriatary reticle, but both big and heavy compared to the March options. Ordered the DTA 30 MOA mount in 34 mm with 30mm reducers. Will just have to see what feels and looks right. Also ordered the soft case, 4 mags and torque wrench. Have Harris bipod 6-9 on LaRue low profile QD mount and just received Atlas 6-9 bipod with QD mount from EuroOptics. Will see what works best. Already have all the cleaning stuff I need and just getting into reloading.
The DTA should be my last big buy for a while, but I'll be adding 2 or 3 barrel conversions. Should keep me busy for quite a while !!!
Kicking things off!
Re: Kicking things off!
Sib,
i have fired a couple of rounds through a 338 Rum with the March 3-24 on it and have to agree its bloody small compared to simular options and great glass.
I run a clamp on atlas on my srs and have on on order for my covert. I liked them so much i got a quick release one as well so i can use it on my other rifles without having to take it off the srs.
My SRS has a 30moa mount and with a Sightron SIII 6-24 (100moa of travel) it was 21moa from the bottom with a 50m (pistol range) zero. I ordered a 40moa mount for the covert.

@sib-2 great options. hoping to have our dual engineered milling reticle to ship soon...
Re: Kicking things off!
I know the Khales glass is great, but looking forward to seeing what the new reticle looks like. Will it be illuminated? I have been very impressed with all the innovations from DTA so far. Winning combinations for great precision and accuracy. Just keep the good stuff coming. There's many hungry fans out here!

Re: Kicking things off!
Hey Friends,
My name is Rex. I've been shooting most of my life. In one of the first pictures of me out of diapers, I'm runnin around in my trusty Batman underwear (always have been partial to him as a superhero - he's got the best guns and gadgets), a cowboy hat, and a pair of cap-gun revolvers holstered at my sides. I haven't always had the money or time to fully invest in shooting (still probably the case) but have loved guns and big booms ever since I could talk. My mom says my first words were, "Pkew pkew"!!
I got my first real pistol at age 8 and have been shooting that thing since - a Colt Peacemaker 22 LR. Last year I got into shooting competitively and was on the University of Utah pistol team. I got individual and team invites to the NRA Collegiate Nationals and did well considering my inexperience. That is where I was first introduced to precision (bullseye) shooting. I got addicted to precision and accuracy real quick!! I'm studying Mehanical Engineering at the U, and just don't have the time to devote to the pistol team anymore.
My addiction to precision has led me to the long range game and has become (to the detriment of my "fun money") my passion. I have met some truly great gentleman along the way!!
I recently sold my GA Precision Hospitaller to be able to afford an SRS-A1. The GAP shot the lights out and was butter smooth, but the capability to have a modular multiple caliber rifle really appealed to my somewhat limited budget. Plus, a DTA is just plain sexy.
My dealer tells me that I'm number 5 on the list for an A1 and I can't freaking wait!!!

Re: Kicking things off!
Welcome. They're a lot of us impatiently waiting for the SRS A1. Got to shoot a Gen II SRS before ordering and it was truly a pleasure to shoot. I plan to start with 308 and 338 and go from there. Also just ordered the new Nightforce BEAST to use as my starter scope in mil/mil and hope it lives up to its praises. Will be my first Illuminted scope. Once I'm able to get out to the range this Spring or Summer I'll get some pictures and a report. Good luck with your purchase and I know you'll really enjoy it!!!

Re: Kicking things off!
My A1 is here! I love it. It was hard earned money, and so far - has been completely worth it!
Thanks to all over at DTA for taking care of their customers! They may be a little slow right now, but they really come through! All the extra orders that they're getting just means that they'll have extra money for R&D projects to kick out some new fun toys!

Re: Kicking things off!
Just picked up SRS-A1 recently (.308). I am waiting on glass, but can't wait to get out and shoot it. I am also planning on buying a .338 conversion as well. I have been shooting since I was a little kid, and own many different platforms. I actually sold a Barrett to buy the SRS.
