Forearm Removal w/o DTA hook wrench?

Just received my covert conversion kit, finally. After about a 9 month wait. However, it did not arrive with the forearm removal tool as described in:

Is there a good way to get the existing forearm off without damaging the rifle w/o this tool?

BTW: I'll post the stock .308 barrel for sale shortly, as soon as I can get it swapped.
