Hi guys,

Here is a pic we took from a local meet up of DTA owners in Victoria Australia.

It was a cold and windy day but still enjoyable.

Bob,

i havent written up anything yet. Picked up the barrel 2 weeks age and couldnt get the cases formed without neck turning so i ended up buying a WinMag bolt using the 500 phantom ammo a mate gave me. I wanted to form cases from 500 Jeffery's so they woudl work on the 338Lap bolt as i didnt want to turn rims.

Now that i have some empty brass i will start doing some load development and then post some details. Watch this space.

Your nuts I love it I wish I had your dedication to wildcat cartridges I wanna make a sub sonic 338 I have an idea about what I'm going to use but I think I may be building a cartridge without a need but will see. I'm thinking pigs at short to intermediate ranges and I know there Is other stuff out there that will do the job but it's not half as fun as building your own :D

the easiest 338 sub is to chamber a 7 or 8 twist barrel with a 338 federal reamer and go shoot it. dies, cases and factory ammo is available. I have done a 338 Whisper in the past and it involves expanding a 7mmBR or 6mmBR case and then fire form it with a supersonic load to remove the ripple you get from the old shoulder neck junction. Dies are available from CH4D.
