DTA and Kahles partnership - Sneak Peek

Post by Nicholas »

Guys,
At Comlink we promised to give member a sneak preview of new and exciting things that are happening at DTA. So here is the first big leak.

We have partnered with Kahles Optic from Austria. We have been searching for an Optics company to co-develop many of the new innovations we want to incorporate into our rifle systems. In our search the companies optics had to have: fantastic lens's, quality design, compact yet rugged, and high production capabilities, have a great base product to start with. Kahles being a sister company of Swarovski utilizes arguably the best lenses on the planet that continually beat out Zeiss, S&B and other great European optics during testing. Ironically Kahles was also looking to Partner with us because of our innovation and rapid growth in the tactical rifle market.

We will have our first co-branded scopes in our booth at shot show, starting with the K6-24x. Kahles is also going to produce a reticle that we have at DTA custom designed for the K6-24x, we will be showing the new reticle at Shot Show but it will not be available until March or April. The reticle was jointly designed between Myself, Russ (at DTM), and Ewen (at DTA Europe) and with feedback from SF operators in the US and UK who we know and trust.

We are very excited about the future of DTA and Kahles working together to change the world. :)

PS. For those wondering Kahles is pronounced "call-us".

I was reading this and my wife looked over my shoulder and said "no way are you buying one, you just bought your S&B". Dam she's funny.

I will get one if it has the features I want, given its pedigree I think it should be good

Grin...... I can't wait.

Guys, these scopes are insanely sexy. I will let Nick do all the releasing of info, but I'm looking forward to running these scopes.....I suck at secrets!

I'll be due for a new optic early next year. I'm keeping an eye on this, and really excited to see the new reticle you guys come up with.

Good news, but I have one request: make zeroing turrets easy.

The reason I say this is that SRS owners have a unique requirement for being able to make POI adjustments on their turrets between caliber conversions. Lots of scopes require special tools to do this or loosening multiple tiny hex nuts. It would be really nice if you guys were able to get Khales to do a quick adjust elevation/turret feature.

perhaps if its a digital reticule it should be easy, change the calibre and hit reset, if it was at 684 meters for example the reticule is still at 684 metres but now its for 338LM not 308 Winchester

This as exactly in line with a pipe dream idea I had Shadowpeo. Amazing the looks a guy gets when the most likely impossible is requested. Haha.
