thoughts on the new DT ballistics software / app

Post by aussiebob »

As you may or may not be aware there is new ballistics software that has come out mostly from what I can see based around the DT platforms I'm keen to know has anyone tried it? I'm keen to give it a shot  (sorry bad pun) so I have a couple of different types at the moment and I'll see how it compares and will post it up here

In the meantime has anyone had any experience with this yet

Trasol is a great program, I've been using it for a while now. Very accurate.

Desert tech has the whole setup available. Why not make their ammo part of the app. Why do I have to enter all the info for it? Not that hard but still.... Anyone know what bullet are used in their ammo. I am guessing the length in the app. I usually use kestrel applied ballistics. The numbers on DTM ammo box go with no bullets I find. AP custom drag curves do work very well if you know what to use.

Problem, I really do not use this app much. I like the kestrel. I was playing with it this evening when breaking in my 6.5 barrel. I have a few barrels now and none have exact same horizontal zero. I can not seem to get the zero setting for .4 R to enter. It only saves at 0.0? This simply does not work with multi barrels and one scope. Can someone help me?

Current update is 1.1.2, try and update, to see if the bug fixes apply to your problem.
