TBAC 338BA Suppressor

Post by sib1948 »

I have a TBAC suppressor on order which will fit on all 338 and smaller barrel conversions with their muzzle breaks. QD and simply thread over the other breaks. Titanium and very light. 8-)

Why that instead of the DTSS?

Did a lot of research and the company was started by experienced ELR shooters. Great guys and quick to answer questions. I truly believe they produce the best more accurate products, I could be wrong. All they do is suppressors. You might want to check them out !

Bold statement to make about something you don't yet own. I'm quite familiar with their products. I've used them quite a bit.

The DTSS uses an almost identical brake and attachment method.

The DTSS is shorter, by about 2 inches.

The DTSS is lighter, by about a third of a pound.

The DTSS is dead sexy, with its knurled exterior.

The DTSS comes from DTA... so you have their awesome company backing you up.

The DTSS is a tiiiiiiiny bit louder, yet both suppressors are known for being loud. They are also known for being accurate. A 300WM out of a 30cal thunderbeast will about ring your ears.

There was a suppressor shoot in northern Utah a while back. I'm told 338 Suppressors from just about every manufacturer were there. It was unanimous, in that the DTSS was the most accurate of the bunch. Granted I'm hearing this second hand, but it was very convincing information.

My ONLY complaint of the DTSS is that it's loud in comparison to YHM, or Elite Iron 338 stuff. However, I'll take the little extra "pop" for the gain in performance. The pro's definitely outweigh the singular con.

Yes, my vote is for the DTSS over all other 338 cans. Not because I sell them, but because it's what I choose to use and the fact that they work exceptionally well on a precision rifle.

Thanks for the information. Would prefer to use all DTA products. By the way I also praise the DTA SRS A1, but have not even seen one except in pictures. Have one on order with several accessories and am patiently waiting for it to arrive. I have very impressed with your company and like to buy American made. Would like to buy some of your ammo when it's available. When will we be able to make purchases on your website? Thinking about buying the Kahles 624i from DTA in the future. Keep up the good quality work.

We developed the brake system prior to TBAC the backwards compatibility feature was pioneered by us. The 338BA is the quiestest 338 can I have shot and reduces recoil really great. Our DTSS is more accurate, has minimum and repeatable impact shift. Our goal was to make the lightest most accurate can on the planet and we did that. If you want more sound reduction the Thunderbeast is great too.

Nick,
Thanks for the information, since I have only been into ELR shooting for 8 months I still have a lot to learn. I love your products and doubt I'll order from anyone else again. Ordered the 338BA for my MRAD and planned to use it on my SRS A1 when it arrives. Have the March 3-24 & 5-40 scopes that I love and just ordered the Nightforce BEAST. May pick up one of your Kahles when you get the reticles finalized. My son and I shoot together and are just getting into the reloading side. I know you all are doing your best to fulfill yours orders and I appreciate your efforts and design ingenuity you put into your products. Keep up the good work and thanks again.
