The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is a unique law enforcement agency in the United State Department of Justice that protects our communities from the illegal use and trafficking of firearms. The ATF has regulatory procedures for the production, sale, and transfer of all firearms in the United States.
The National Firearms Act requires any business or individual who will participate in the transfer of NFA firearms, outlined by the Act, to both register these items and pay a specific tax for them. A few NFA firearms include suppressors, short barreled rifles, fully-automatic weapons, and more. Each NFA transfer requires a specific ATF Form approval.
WARNING: The sale or transfer of a NFA item must be approved through the ATF before it is legally allowed to be shipped or picked up. Desert Tech LLC will not engage in any transaction that requires illegal transfer of any product.
An ATF Form 3 is an application for tax-exempt transfer of firearms and registration to a special occupational taxpayer (SOT). Form 3s are used in the transfer of a NFA firearm from one Federal Firearms License (FFL) to another. Desert Tech LLC requires a copy of the transferee’s current FFL, SOT license, and payment before we will submit paperwork for transfer. The approval of an ATF Form 3 ranges from 4-12 weeks.
