On Dec. 11-13, in Salt Lake City, Ut., Desert Tech is hosting a group of key VIP media personalities to debut the MDR, the Most Anticipated New Firearm of 2015. This is an invite-only event and the only one of its kind prior to SHOT Show in January.

And we’ve got room for one more.

We’re going to pick one lucky shooter from across America to join us for an MDR Getaway which includes:

Round Trip airfare

Lodging at the Desert Tech Winter Cabin

Home Cooked Meals

MDR Training at the Desert Tech Training Facility

Precision Long Range Shooting on the Sniper Pad at DTTF

Private Tour of the Desert Tech Headquarters

To become eligible for this event, all you need to do is:

LIKE and SHARE the posts on the Desert Tech Facebook and/or Instagram page. We’ll be posting daily reminders and the more times you LIKE and SHARE, the better your odds are of winning.

On Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, we will randomly select one person to fly in on Dec. 11 and be our guest until Dec.13. Please note that you must be an American Citizen living in the United States at least 21 years or older and we will require a background check for this live-fire event.

OFFICIAL SELECTION PROCESS

Because of the overwhelming response to the MDR Getaway Contest, we had to get a little creative to randomly select our winner in true Desert Tech style. Contest entry closes on Dec. 1, 2014 at 2 pm MST.

Step 1

Gather all entries (we’re talking thousands upon thousands of entries) and randomly assign each one a number.

Step 2

Randomly assign those numbers to a 4-foot by 4-foot grid spaced at .308-inches apart.

Step 3

Place a blank 4-foot by 4-foot piece of cardboard 500 yards downrange.

Step 4

Have Russ Wallis square up to the target with the MDR and then have him blindfolded.

Step 5

FIRE!

Step 6

Place cardboard over grid with bullet hole revealing the winning number.
