Overview
The "2011" of AR-15s
The Quattro-15 is the next evolution in AR-15 design, utilizing the increased capacity from the QMAG-53, 53-round polymer magazine. The flared magazine well supports a quad-stack to double-feed the magazine. A magwell adapter kit allows the use of traditional 30-round magazine and provides backwards compatibility with STANAG pattern magazines. The Quattro-15 Lower includes an Ambidextrous Bolt Catch, Magazine Release, QD Sling Point, and upper receiver tensioning set screw. MIL-SPEC compatibility accomodates parts from across the AR-15 market. Machined from a 7075-T6 Aluminum Forging, and finished with a Type III Hard Coat Anodizing

LOVE IT!!!
Ambi mag release and Ambi bolt lever were flawless and smooth, zero problems. The magazines fed effortlessly. 200 rounds of 110 grain 300blk through the same mag and not one hangup or failure to feed. Definitely going to purchase another lower and load out kit.
Works with my Dissent.
I paired this up with my CMMG dissent upper and it functions flawlessly!

Finally arrived, yay. Built it out as a suppressor host, fit and finish very good. Only wish the ambi mag release was a machined part. It may break in a bit but initially is a bit stiff and gritty. Please consider making a metal one for it. All in all very satisfied, nice job DT!
Great Full Ambi Lower
Time will tell if the QMag gains popularity, pair this with the tool-less snap in adapter to accept standard mags and this is a very competitive offering.
I recently took delivery of mine, assembled it up and have played around with both the QMags and just the adapter and standard mags. The QMags are pretty much exactly as advertised, they are pretty much the same length as a 30rd PMag when inserted. I have speed loaders for the PMags so range days are much more enjoyable when reloading is fairly painless. Even if I'm having to stop to change mags more often. The adapter has a nice bevel to it to help align the pmag into the center, and functionally I don't see much change from the standard lower in mag insertion or ejection.
The controls are very well laid out, and I like that they are very close to symmetrical from side to side, the Left side bolt catch/release is a little larger than standard, plenty easy to use, with the mag release being directly below. On the right side the bolt catch/release is a lever that you push up to lock, pull down to release, similar to most modern pistol bolt catches, so it is intuitive and easy to use as well.
There is a hex screw in the rear of the receiver, I believe is designed to help reduce the clearance between the upper and lower receiver, depending on the grip you choose it can get covered up. So I did not bother utilizing this, as my preferred grip covers up the screw, and having to take the grip off to make an adjustment seems a bit silly. I'd rather just have some accuwedges or foam ear plugs floating around to provide a little tension instead of wondering if the set screw is going to move under recoil or need to be adjusted if swapping between different uppers.
The front takedown pin detent spring pocket being vertical versus horizontal due to the mag well shape, presented some minor issues during the assembly process, but that or the bolt catch are always the most annoying step in assembling a lower, so really nothing to complain about. The rear takedown pin was slightly tight during initial assembly, was using a pair of Geissele pins, and just a little lube and spinning it while sliding it in and out of the receiver was enough to loosen up the fit to where the pin would slide easily. The front pin was fine, so I'm guessing the coating was just slightly too thick and needed to be worn down just a tad.
I am impressed with the one I have, and will likely purchase another one or three depending on how badly I want ambi controls on. But I definitely would recommend this unit as being a great value.
